Vietnam. As the Lunar New Year approaches, the young broadcasters of Hai Phong are proving that their influence extends far beyond the transmitter. On January 27, the Youth Union of Hai Phong Radio & Television stepped away from the studio microphones to lead a vital community mission: bringing the warmth of Tet to disadvantaged students across the Le Chan ward.

Broadcast with a Purpose

Operating under the theme “Spring Connection – Tet of Love,” the initiative transformed the Le Chan headquarters of the Fatherland Front into a hub of local support. For these media professionals, the day was an extension of their role as public communicators—bridging the gap between a news story and real-world relief.

By leveraging their platform, the Hai Phong media teams helped amplify the needs of vulnerable groups, turning a local project into a city-wide signal for compassion.

The Power of Collaboration

The program was a “multi-channel” effort, receiving critical support from the Youth Union of Hai Phong Newspaper and a network of corporate partners, including:

  • Petrolimex Petrochemical Corporation (Thuong Ly Lubricant Factory)
  • 2T Education Development Co., Ltd.
  • Hai Phong Express Delivery

Impact by the Numbers

In the festive spirit of the upcoming Year of the Horse 2026, the committee distributed scholarships and meaningful gifts to victims of Agent Orange, students in hardship, and local youth members. The breakdown of support included:

  • 25 Gifts: From the Hai Phong Radio, TV, and Newspaper Youth Unions.
  • 20 Gifts: From the Le Chan Ward Youth Union.
  • 80 Scholarships & Gifts: From the Le Chan Red Cross Society.

A Human Connection

The program reached a total value of 80 million VND, entirely mobilized through social contributions. For the radio and television youth of Hai Phong, the event served as a powerful reminder: while technology delivers the sound, it is the human touch that truly connects the community.
