From Asia: 2 New FM Stations in Lion City, Radio Imaging for 91.3

Infocomm Media Development in Singapore recently awarded SPH Radio license to operate 2 new FM stations.

The network received an approval to franchise the vacant dial slots 89.3 and 96.3.

One dial point is for a Chinese radio format that focuses on those over the age of 50. The station programming aims to help in the way of life data covering well being, health and retirement for the segment.

The station will likewise highlight Chinese pop and “xin yao” songs from the 80s to the 90s.

The second station will be designed to raising the money related proficiency education. The English-speaking format will target PMEBs (experts, supervisors, administrators and specialists), monetary market members and also the general listeners on financial matters.

SPH Radio is a radio broadcaster in Singapore. It is a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings. It operates 3 radio stations, namely One FM 91.3 and Kiss 92 in English, and UFM 100.3 in Mandarin.

The two new stations will start airing in December.

The newly filled FM slots will bring the aggregate number of FM stations in the Lion City to 20.
