London based production company Wise Buddah Jingles are celebrating after a successful night at the New York Festivals International Radio Programme Awards 2016, where they took home the Gold in the Best Sound category.

The awards, world-wide since 1982, recognise the ever-evolving nature of the radio industry with numerous categories open to the best in the industry, with finalists this year coming from over 29 countries around the globe.

Wise Buddah’s entry represented a cross-section of their work that had aired over the last 12 months in the form of a portfolio, emphasising the diverse nature of their numerous station sound packages.

Paul Plant, Managing Director, Wise Buddah Jingles: “With the absence and decline of many radio industry awards over recent years, there have been few if any, opportunities left in radio to celebrate and award prizes for great craft and innovation in radio. Thank god then for the New York Festivals!

Formats such as CHR, AC, Gold, Newstalk and Christian, sung in Polish, Norwegian, German, Swedish, Dutch, Malaysian and Thai are common occurrences for us, and we are privileged to have worked with the world’s leading radio brands. The entry celebrates the breadth and depth of formats, territories and languages that we produce for.

Every jingle tells a story and is in essence a miniature song. Our aim and USP has always been to create contemporary imaging to reflect the sound and pulse of the radio station and we’re delighted to have picked up the Gold Award in the best sound catagory”.
