About Warm 98

WRRM is an AC radio station at the FM band 98.5 broadcasting from Cincinnati, Ohio.

The station is run by Cumulus Media, the previous owner was Susquehanna Radio Corporation.

For 10 years, starting 1990 until February 2010, Warm 98 broadcast 5 hours of jazz every Saturday nights which is hosted byChris Lynn, a  midday personality.

The only station that aired jazz music prior to WRRM was WVAE (“94.9 The Wave”), which operated from 1995 to 1999; but, the station had reverted to the AM dial (albeit satellite-fed) on 1480 WCIN, but the station dropped it in May 2009, causing a Smooth Jazz radio gap in the Cincinnati radio market.

But, in the beginning of 2011, smooth jazz was reintroduced via Warm 98. Currently, and nbow smooth jazz programming is heard on Warm 98 every Sunday mornings 7-12 noon.

Sunday mornings featured the long-running “Sunday Morning Music Hall” hosted by Cincinnati Ballet Music Director Carmon DeLeone.

The show first aired on Easter Sunday in 1991 and ended its 16½ year run on Sunday, January 6, 2008.
