Download Airshow Radio Spot On Sandy Hook Elementary Tragedy
From TeleGraph.co.uk. A total of 26 victims died when the gunman, named as Adam Lanza, 20, began firing at Sandy Hook Elementary School in the sleepy New England town of Newtown, Connecticut, 60 miles from New York. Another body was found at his family home.
He used weapons including two handguns, a Glock and a Sig Sauer, and a .233 Bushmaster rifle was found in the back of a car at the school.
Production company Airshow released a free radio spot in honor of the victims of the tragedy.
Here are some of the accounts from survivors/witnesses:
“I was in the gym. We heard lots of bangs and we thought it was the custodian knocking stuff down.
Then we heard screaming. Then police came in and said, ‘Is he in here?’
Then they ran out and we went to the closet in the gym and hid. Then we ran to the fire house and saw a guy on the floor in handcuffs. We were just happy to be alive.” – a 9-year old student.
“My daughter’s teacher is a hero.”
“Everyone was in hysterics – parents, students. There were kids coming out of the school bloodied. I don’t know if they were shot, but they were bloodied.” says Brenda Lebinski a parent whose eight-year-old daughter had been among children saved by a teacher who locked them in a closet.
“This is a spot regarding the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy. Please feel free to email it to any stations (and individuals) you wish.”
I had to stop multiple times while recording, to hold back the tears. If I feel this way, I hope this brings some comfort to our nation. Put it on facebook if you wish.” Rick Rick McConnell of Airshow Imaging and Programming Package. Visit www.airshowcd.com
