Today, Em, also known as Emily McIntosh, has a name and a following in the Seattle area and internationally. Every day her vocals are heard by more than 10 million listeners on U.K. radio alone but she is also a performing artist playing regularly as both a Jazz/Soul Soloist and group member with various Jazz, R&B & Soul Bands in Seattle clubs, casinos, festivals, private events, and concerts and has performed the National Anthem multiple times at Sonics games. She has been in opening acts for such major artists as Macy Gray, Tyrese, Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Mavis Staples and Nica Costa. In 2001 Em’s breathtaking voice captured the attention of hitmakers David Foster, Dianne Warren, Carole Bayer Sager and Babyface when she entered and won their International Female Vocalist Challenge on Tonos.com. In 2005, Emily’s voice was heard in the blockbuster film Something’s Gotta Give with Dianne Keeton and Jack Nicholson.

You may never guess it, but this urban beauty was born and raised on a small farm in the Northwest and has been performing lead roles in school musicals since the young age of eight. At thirteen, this dedicated performer joined a nationally recognized Girl-Choir which she toured with internationally for seven years including performances at Carnegie Hall . Em’s senior year of high school wasn’t only earning her 4.0 G.P.A. and cheerleading, but preparing and rehearsing to record her first full-length solo CD. The following year she was awarded both the Talent and Community Service Awards in the Miss America Pageant Program . Em is still the reigning Miss Kirkland, representing the state of Washington.

While attending one of the West Coast’s most prestigious arts colleges full-time her sophomore year, she juggled the lead Female Role in the world premier of the pop/rock opera, CITY KID written by Hit Songwriters Adrienne Anderson (Barry Manilow, Isaac Hayes, and Dionne Warwick) and music by Grammy winning Peter Bunetta (Micheal Bolton, Kenny G., Jonny Mathis, Patty Labell & Smokey Robinson). Following the production’s 2-year run, she directed her energies in a different direction and trained as an accomplished seminar leader and coach for personal development seminars. This has provided her a mastery and ease in public speaking and performing as well as an ability to easily relate, coach, and communicate with others.

Em’s talents go beyond just singing. She has recorded, arranged, coached and written with award winning artists, writers and producers such as American Idols Top 10 Finalist A.J. Gil, Reggaeton Sensation Zion “Baby” (Zion y Lenox), Ken Stringfellow of R.E.M., Peter Klett of Candlebox, Korea’s Yon Chae, R&B Trio Simply Smooth, Kenny Lamar (Vanessa Williams, Denise willaims), Jesse Perez, (P.O.D.) and many others.

This dynamic, versatile, and sultry vocalist possesses a commanding, superstar presence and has a tremendous business sense. After just one interaction with Em, her immediate destiny as a pop icon and positive role model is undeniable and timeless.

Emily is Non-Union & for hire for your next project. She is seeking writers & producers to collaborate with as well as investors for the recording, production & promotion of her CD. She is also seeking a record deal.
