Johnston, New Creative Director at Corus Radio

Canadia media giant, Corus Entertainment Inc. recently delegated a new Creative Director in the person of Rob Johnston.

Johnston will be responsible for managing a team of writers and producers at Corus Radio Toronto and will work in conjunction with the Program Directors on radio imaging, and sales management on commercials and other on-air requirements.

In addition, Johnston and his team will be an added resource to the Creative Directors in Corus’ other Ontario markets. Johnston will report to Dave Farough, Vice President, Brands and Programming, Corus Entertainment.

Utilizing Corus Quay’s resources and advanced technology capabilities, the Production Centre of Excellence offers Corus’ radio stations a highly innovative and creative one-stop shop of production services.

“We are confident that Rob will make this new initiative a huge success for Corus,” said Farough. “With Rob’s appointment to spearhead the Production Centre of Excellence in Ontario, our goal is to launch the program in western Canada later this year.”

Most recently, Johnston was Creative Director at Corus Radio Toronto. Prior to that, he was a producer and writer at 102.1 the Edge as well as an Instructor at the School of Radio and Television Arts at Ryerson University.

Corus radio has 37 stations in Canada, including 92.5 Joe FM102.1 the EdgeQ107630 CHEDCKNW AM 980, CJOB 68, and Country 105.
